What we will and will not change
We will correct the product name, brand, model number, category and specifications — the identity of the thing.
Not in Merkdex at all? Send it anyway. If we do not hold that barcode yet, a reviewer can create the record from what you give us — so the more complete and accurate your details, the better. A name is the one thing we cannot do without.
We will not touch price or stock. Those come from retailers, not from you, so price-shaped fields are stripped from every submission before a reviewer even sees it. That is deliberate: a product graph where the manufacturer sets the price is not a product graph.
Feeding us a whole catalogue instead?
If you publish a product feed and want it read on a schedule rather than correcting products one at a time, that runs through a verified account — you prove you control your domain, we authorise you for your brands, and your feed is polled automatically.
